So I must apologize for my partial absence last week…but lots of great things are happening with the show and I’ve still managed to hit up some BUY THE BAGS to satiate my thrifting appetite along the way.
I was going through some shots and realized I hadn’t shared with you all in full living color that vintage Louis Vuitton I had briefly mentioned that I was uber excited about unearthing at a previous Housing Works BUY THE BAG Sale.
A great deal of my outfit here is gifted, thrifted, and affordable (aside from the Louboutins….but even those were a steal). I’ll have to let you in on that little secret a little later ;). I’m a firm believer in paying it forward. I thrifted a bag of designer duds to the girls in my class, and not even a week later a classmate gave me this knock out FREE PEOPLE CLOTHING blazer she had come across, but was unable to fit herself. Score! My EXPRESS STUDIO skirt I had tailored, because we ladies all need at least one black go-to suit for any occasion. Whether I separate that suit and rolled up the sleeves on the jacket and pair it with jeans, or borrow the pencil skirt for the day as pictured here, it’s a staple that keeps on giving. And last but not least, my textured tights are from Target.
This monochromatic look is simple, yet chic. Whether it’s a day at the office, an interview, or a power lunch….a look like this screams confident yet sexy. Tell me what looks you have that can get you the job!
