Cell phone batteries just don’t last very long…let’s face it. As a solution….listen to this….I’ve been told by a technician at the cell phone store that since you aren’t supposed to leave them charged over night, instead I should consider setting an alarm to wake up in the middle of the night to disconnect it from the power source. Are you kidding me?! Who actually does that? So, needless to say….when I’m running around in the city all day using apps, tweeting, emailing…my battery gets drained pretty quickly.
So…I had a friend visiting and I was showing them around Times Square last night and I stumbled upon the perfect solution for a “quick fix.” Inside the Walgreens in Times Square Duracell is sponsoring a “Recharge Station.” Just unlock and open the tube, connect your cell phone/iPod (there are a few chargers in each tube), lock the tube, take the key with you and continue shopping. It’s that easy.
Cool idea if I may say so myself….and this is coming from someone who just asked a rank stranger to take a photo for her and email it her after their phone died 🙁
